Yes, I am aware that Christmas was over 2 months ago and I have posted NOTHING since then, but we have had so much excitement the past few weeks (a baby announcement! Avery's 4th birthday! Disney World!) that I need to fast forward through winter (didn't do much anyway!) and get to the good stuff! First up - Avery is FOUR! We started the day with our annual birthday tradition of pedicures at the nail salon (I started this with both girls on their 1st birthdays in hopes that 12 years from now, I can force them into spending time with their mom with a pedicure bribe!) The pampering continued with a hair cut/style and joining Harper + Grandma for lunch. We were joined by Daddy for dinner at mommy's favorite and another birthday tradition, JMK Nippon and finished off the night with presents + ice cream sundaes. Avery was lucky enough to have not 1, but 2 parties this year - a Sleeping Beauty themed party with 7 of her friends, complete with pink + blue donuts and a treasure chest bar, and then a family party later on that night! Here are some highlights from her action packed birthday weekend!

Christmas!
By looking at what the girls opened during their 5 celebrations of Christmas, it's save to say they were very very very good this year! They both woke up with colds on Christmas Day, but runny noses couldn't put a damper on what Santa left under the tree at the Johnson house!

Christmas Cookies
Happy 2015! I know I'm at least 3 weeks behind, but I swear I will catch up ... even if it's summer before I do! This blog was made to be an online scrapbook, for us to keep track of what the girls did, funny things they said, and how they celebrated holidays, birthdays and other big events, so I figure better late, then never!
A big Christmas tradition in this house is making Christmas cookies. Me, I'm not a fan of baking, nor did we do it growing up (I come from a boxed cake + brownie mix kinda family!), but Nick's family did it every year, so we will continue to carry that on in our house. I can suck it up for one day for the love of frosting and sprinkles, right?!
