Meet Me at the Fair!

We just wrapped up a great couple of weeks of fair festivities!  Avery's favorite movie is "Meet Me in St. Louis" and even though she sings about fairs every day, she has never been to a fair before... so why not go to two in one week?! It was so fun to take her at an age that she actually enjoyed and appreciated them!  She loved the animals the best (cows & pigs, pink pigs only) and even got to go on her first carnival rides!  First stop was the Boone County Fair which was an itsy bitsy fair compared to the next weekend's Iowa State Fair!  We had a great weekend with Uncle Shane & Aunt Cat - plenty more animals, food booths & even some deep fried goodness!  I think I gained about 5 pounds from the 2 fairs I attended this month, so I'm happy to say "goodbye Fair season - see you next year!"

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Bump Watch: 26 Weeks

Another bump photo ... another week late!  We're too far along to quit, so better late than never right?! Here we are at 26 weeks (well 27 weeks) - feeling good, feeling big-but-not-huge, but it looks like I'm measuring on track to when I was pregnant with Avery. I just got out of the shower, so please don't judge that I'm not wearing makeup! So excited that in 6 days we will be saying hello to the 3rd trimester!  Only 12 weeks left until we get to hold another sweet baby girl... and say goodbye to my precious 8 hours of sleep a night!

Happy Birthday Mommy!

Today marks "Jess needs to catch up on the blog because she is a few weeks behind" week! :)  I recently celebrated my last birthday in my 20's (tear!) and my family treated me to dinner at my most favorite restaurant on the planet - JMK Nippon.   After an amazing dinner, Avery & I went out to check out the koi pond and even were given a cup of food to feed the fish - which turned out to be the highlight of Avery's day!

A week late ... I am awesome!  We had such a busy week, so I have a good excuse!  This picture was actually taken at 25 weeks, but I doubt there was much of a difference.

Bachelorette Finale Party

Happy Tuesday!  Did anyone watch the Bachelorette finale last night?  I'm a big Bachelor/Bachelorette/Bachelor Pad fan (always have been, always will be!), so I decided to get all of the girls together for the big game show!  It's like the Super Bowl of reality tv, right?!  And since I can't resist a theme party, here is how I set up!

My thoughts on the Finale:
* I still can't believe my bud Reality Steve (well his sources) was/were wrong this season!  I was totally surprised by the ending!  I can't believe the amount of hate tweets he is receiving though ... my goodness, it's like he killed someone!  I feel sorry for the people who are truly upset with him that he was given the wrong information - get a life people!! :)
* I really like Chris ... I probably would have picked him and Zach as my final two!
* They are totally corny & dorky ... so I think they are perfect for each other.
* So excited to watch Juan Pablo as the Bachelor.  I wouldn't even mind watching with a bag over my head - just love that accent!
