Buddies!

i'm only one month old, but have already made 3 friends ~ Ella, Brielle & Cecilia! I can't wait to play once we get a bit older! Mommy was a cheerleader with Ella & Brielle's moms, so maybe we will follow in their footsteps!

happy birthday daddy!

on sunday daddy celebrated his 26th birthday and i celebrated my one month birthday! grandma janet & grandpa pete watched me all day while mommy & daddy went to new glarus for a brewery tour & lunch. i'm growing longer and have more personality by the day! still waiting for that first BIG smile but it will be coming soon! :) here's a cute picture of me with the birthday boy!

today we went to visit great grandma & grandpa cwynar and they just adore me! :) here's 4 generations of cwynar/lucas women - great grandma dorothy, grandma janet, mommy & me! what a blessing to have these women in my life!

A couple of years ago I fell in love with the blog www.younghouselove.com -- a story about a young couple who bought an adorable, but outdated home that spend their days renovating and redecorating it. Because of the success of their blog, they were able to quit their full-time jobs and make this website their baby (and source of income)! Although I have not tackled all of their DIY projects, you will find a couple of YHL inspired pieces in my house (our master bedroom headboard & framed scrapbook paper art to name a few!) They had a baby girl almost a year ago and came up with the cutest idea to photograph their little one once a week to track how she changes and grows throughout the year. Of course I thought this was the cutest idea ever, so guess what?! I'm copying! :) since Avery is now 3 weeks old, I have our first 3 of 52 done! Luck of the Irish!

Happy St. Paddy's Day! Today we got to visit Grandma Janet at work and made a quick trip to Target to pick up my Easter dress! Although, I didn't get any green milk and mommy & daddy didn't get any green beer, today was a great day!

First Walk!

Today is a gorgeous day! It's currently 58 degrees and sunny in Rockton, so what a perfect day to finally get outside and get some fresh air! Foxxie and I are looking to shed a few pounds, so we took Avery out on a walk around the neighborhood to show her the sights! Hopefully this weather is here to stay so we can get out as many times as possible before May 20th when I have to report back to work :(
