Easter wrap up

Hope you all had a wonderful Easter weekend with family and friends.  It was a busy, but wonderful weekend for us as Avery & Harper were able to see all 6 of their grandparents, both of their great-grandmas and countless great aunts, uncles & cousins.  I'm not sure when Easter turned into Christmas, but the girls received multiple baskets, gifts & more candy than Willy Wonka could produce in a day! :)  And our IL was so heavenly that Avery got in not one, but two personal outdoor Easter egg hunts.  Next year Harper will get to join in the fun of the hunt so Avery won't have to do it by herself!  This post will be pretty picture heavy, but the girls and their adorable dresses were too cute not to share!  Both of Avery's dresses are from Old Navy, Harper's pink dress from baby Gap & headband from Dana's Bitty Bows.

4 + 5 months

So our little doodle is FIVE months old now ... practically 1/2 a year old!  My mom brought it to my attention that I never posted her 4 month photo, so here is a double dose of cute for you!

WHAT'S NEW:
* sleeping {like a baby} in her crib!  I never thought we would see the day!  It took her a verrrrry long time to adjust to her crib & her room, but now she is in her crib for 2 naps/day (approx 10am + 2pm) and bedtime (approx 7:30/8pm - 7:30am).  Harper + crib = new bffs and mommy & daddy are ecstatic about it!  Also, turns out our girlie is a belly sleeper, no wonder why she kept trying to flip over in her swing!
* eating - still mommy's milk only - 4 times/day, about 4 hours apart.  I do give her a bottle {of breast milk} for her bedtime feeding just to make sure she is getting enough to fill up her belly, and then I pump before bed for the next night's bottle.
* playing - plays on her belly, turns over immediately if she is on her back.  Still loves her activity gym, tray toys, Marina the Mermaid and basically any toy you put in front of her!
* wearing - 6 month clothes + pjs and size 2 diapers.  It looks like Mother Nature is finally allowing spring to show up this weekend and continuing into next week, where it's looking like 60s & 70s, so I'm so excited to break out our warmer weather wardrobe.  All of Avery's 'hand-me-downs' are 6 month outfits, so we are racing the clock to stuff Harper into as many of them as possible before she jumps up another size!

Still waiting on those bottom teeth ... two months of teething & nothin'!

Springtime Sprucing

So my calendar says it is April, but you would never know it by looking outside.  So over this cold winter - but that's a rant for another day... because today, we are thinking spring!  My inventory of Easter decorations looks pathetic against my Halloween and Christmas stuff, but a few pops of pastel around the house can really cheer up a mood!  And lucky for me, I discovered a Target bag of Easter decs I bough last year on super 70% clearance so that was a fun surprise!

This garland was so easy to make, I couldn't even make a tutorial for it!  Take a long piece of ribbon, string plastic eggs 1 by 1 (holes already made) and hang it on up when you are done!  I absolutely love the colors of these Target eggs so I went a little ombre with it!

My $3 clearance yarn wreath from Target in all of it's glory!

One of my most favorite decorations I own are my sequin Easter eggs that I bought them from Pier 1 years and years ago.  5 eggs, 5 spots on my chandelier ... match made in sequin egg heaven!
Avery & Harper's Easter baskets - bought at Michaels.  Thank goodness Michaels sells the same baskets every year that we were able to find a perfect match for Harper this year!  Table runner is actually 4 place mats from Kohls.
