Many people probably do not know that today is Pregnancy & Infant Loss Remembrance Day ... I didn't until Facebook told me this morning :) Please light a candle at 7pm tonight and keep it lit for 1 hour to shine light on all babies that the world never got to meet.

Fall Fun!

Happy October everyone! Sorry for the lack of posts lately (for almost a month actually!) At least I can't say it's because we have nothing fun to share, because boy! have we been busy! It's no secret that fall is my favorite time of year so I have been busy introducing Avery to all of fall's finest activities ... Apple Orchard, Pumpkin Patch, Lockwood Park & Midway Village! We've played with pumpkins, ate apple cider donuts, rode on tractors and wagons and even made our very own scarecrow! We still have a few more fall activities coming up including another trip to the Pumpkin Patch & up to scenic Door County to visit Grandma Jamie & Grandpa Jason and see all the fall colors. And of course, the red sequin shoes are anxiously awaiting to be worn Halloween night when Avery will take a true stab at trick or treating! Can you guess her costume?.....

Polish Fest!

Last month Avery got to attend her 1st Polish Fest, a festival that I went to every year as a little girl. She did enjoy some Polish sausage and sauerkraut and even tried her hands at a few games. Her favorite - walking with great Grandpa's cane & playing with the dancers! Na zdrowie! (Cheers!)

18 Months!

Avery has been around for 18 months! Time flies when you are having fun :) Here is what she has been up to! HEIGHT- 33 1/4 inches (aka... TALL!!!) WEIGHT - 23 lbs 10 oz (just about average) SLEEPS - 8pm - 7:30am, down to ONE nap approx 12pm - 3-4pm WORDS (about 25!) uh-oh - mama - daddy - foxxie - doggie - papa (grandpa) - yes - no - shoe - hair - eyes - ears - ju (juice) - nana (banana) - ellie - ball - buh-bye - car - woof woof - up - down - duck - bubbles - key - dutton (button) - moo (moon) - "i see you" - "buh-bye papa" - "hi foxxie" - LOVES - her stuffed animals, singing, shoes, jewelry "pretties", purses, cell phones, remotes, pushing shopping carts, anything sparkly, juice & snacks, balls

"Real Housewives" Baby Shower

Nick has had the pleasure of playing in a golf league this summer - "Jackman Dew" and so the ladies decided to make Thursday nights when the guys are out playing ladies nights! The "Real Housewives of Jackman Dew" have had a wonderful summer of get togethers and last night we wrapped up a great social season with a surprise shower for our dear friend Jenny expecting a baby boy this December! august?!

i know, i know, it's the most cliche thing to say, but seriously how is it already august?! although i wish we could have had a bit cooler weather so we could play outside more at home, avery really has had an action packed summer! in july she took a 4 week kindermusik class (this was her 3rd session and i think we will sign up for fall too - this kid loves to sing!!) and we also got season passes at magic waters waterpark, so we have been trying to go once a week! i am SO looking forward to fall (smores, sweatshirts, bonfires, pumpkin patch & apple orchard, not to mention halloween!!) but i plan to enjoy this last month or so of summer by spending as much time in the pool and in the sun as we can!

July 4th!

We had a great 4th of July last week! Since we thought the fireworks would be too loud for Avery last year, this was her 1st year seeing the big show ... and she didn't seem to care about it either way! :) A bunch of friends all went up to Geneva Ridge Resort where Nick works and celebrated there. We swam, ate great food, relaxed on their brand new fire pit and had a great view of Geneva National's fireworks over Lake Como. Avery seemed to enjoy the candy & Mommy's cell phone more than the fireworks... maybe next year! ;)
