She is such a sweetie pie - it's hard to think of the days when she had colic and couldn't stop screaming and crying. She is developing such a fun personality and she is changing every day! Month six is going to be a big one for her! New this month - starting real food. Last week she tried rice cereal once - and was not a fan, so today I gave her her first 'real food' - banana. Again, she was not a fan (I swear Avery gobbled everything we put on her spoon!), but hopefully she will like it a little more each time I try. She is also mastering "the worm" which I can only imagine within a couple of days is going to turn into a legit crawl. {{Cue scrambling to baby proof + put a gate up on the staircase!}} Next week brings her 6 month photo shoot with the fabulous Kelsey and 6 month check-up!

Mother's Day Gifts
Whoa - two posts in 1 week - who am I?! :) In case you are looking for last minute Mother's Day gift ideas, I thought i would share what our moms are getting this year a little early. After swooning over this DIY neon dipped pot I found on Pinterest, I knew I wanted to make those, but wanted to put something other than plants in them. So, here you go - potted wine & a tank top bouquet!
The wine gift was very simple. Glambanners hooked me up with some white glitter flowers and after a little tissue paper stuffing and pipe cleaning bending, potted wine was born! I even found a bottle with a family tree label and cutesy little snippet about the importance of family on the back!
The tank top bouquet was just as easy! After an ah-mazing sale at Old Navy, I bought my mom 3 tank tops (coordinating colors only add to the cute factor). I folded them up length wise until I had a skinny strip of fabric, rolled up them and tied a ribbon towards the bottom to keep them from falling apart. Again, stuff in some tissue paper, make some leaves out of green pipe cleaners and stuff em' in!
What are you getting the special mama in your life this year?! Here's last year's gift if you need another idea!

Bachelorette Party!
Hi all! Sorry for the lack of posts! We've been keeping really busy around here ... mostly with work, so I haven't had any fun pictures to share! This weekend I traveled to the magical land of Iowa for my soon to be sister-in-law's bachelorette party! Her maid of honor was hosting a lingerie shower/pre-party before dinner and bar hopping, so of course I had to make some glittery goodies for her!
The bride refers to her wedding as "the blessed event" and posts periodic countdowns on the groom's facebook wall :)
