Birthday Dinner

We celebrated Avery's birthday with dinner at Mommy & Daddy's favorite restaurant - JMK Nippon.  If you live in Northern Illinois and you haven't been, you have to go!  But who am I kidding?!  I know you have already been ... and you love it!  It's a hibachi style Japanese restaurant, but by far the best restaurant of its kind!  This was Avery's first time there and we knew she would love the food, but would also be entertained by our Chef (who was fabulous btw) and watching him cook right at our table.  Grandma & Papa Lucas joined in on the fun and not only did Avery enjoy shrimp, scallops, soup, veggies, chicken & filet, she also was serenaded by the entire staff - in English & Japanese - and scored some delicious pineapple (birthday tradition at JMK).  One taste of 'yummy yummy' sauce and that girl was hooked!
